Biography

The 2025-26 school year marks Mr. Louro's 29th year of teaching and is his third year here at Vista.  In addition to the three years at Vista, his tenure includes 17 years at Escalon High and 9 years at high schools in the Merced Union High School District.  He has taught every subject that falls under the Social Studies Department: Geography, World History, US History, Psychology, Economics and Civics.  Teaching American Government became his passion and is the subject he has taught the most.  He currently teaches science, English, American Government, Economics, and electives.  Mr. Louro also has 25 years of coaching experience having coached basketball for 24 years, baseball for 10, and golf for 2.  Mr. Louro has been married to his wife Christine for 32 years, has one son Dominic and 3 beautiful granddaughters Mia 6, Alana 4, and Ashton 0. He enjoys traveling, reading, and playing with his grand daughters.
